Site-based Planning Committees Need You!
Each campus within Leander ISD has a Site-Based Planning Committee (SBPC). These committees are composed of district employees, community members, business representatives and parents. SBPC members provide input to the principal on a wide variety of subjects, with an aim of improving the achievement of all students. The committees address such areas as planning, curriculum, budgeting, staff development, staffing patters and school organization. Elections for parent representatives are held every fall. Parents can only serve as a parent representative at the campus where they have a child attending school. If you would like to find out more information about the council, run for a parent seat or nominate someone for one of the seats, please call the campus your student attends no later than Friday, September 2.
We need your help to ensure the safety of our students! The primary purpose for a crossing guard is to ensure the safety of the children as they enter crosswalks going to and from school. Duties will require working outdoors under a variety of weather conditions. No experience required, but must have basic knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures. Schedule will occasionally vary to accommodate early release days. THIS IS A PAID POSITION! Click on the link above for more information.
