Leander ISD is recognizing its Licensed Specialists in School Psychology during National School Psychology Awareness Week. More than 40 LSSPs serve our students with a wide range of services related to students’ academic achievement and emotional well-being.

LSSPs conduct comprehensive evaluations, provide counseling and psychological services, train staff on behavior strategies, respond to school crises, and recommending interventions for home and school. Among many other duties at the campus and district levels, LSSPs apply expertise in mental health, learning and behavior to help students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally.

For more information about school psychologists, please visit www.NASPonline.org or contact LISD lead LSSP, Mary Beth Pinnell.
